David Cameron Has Really Done His All for This Bloke. Why?

For those who still don’t know, this is Jeremy Hunt, David Cameron’s Culture and Media Secretary.

Mr Cameron certainly is a loyal bloke in a tight spot.  I would have gotten rid of this guy before now, had it been me.

He doesn’t strike me as particularly clever or weighty.  He is a passive wealth creator in that he ran a web based call centre type operation helping people get fancy qualifications?  His staff didn’t speak very highly of him I’m told either.

So why such loyalty to someone who has clearly put the Government into such deep doodoo?

This average Joe is now going to go on and run the London Olympics.  Great – hope he does a better job than he did with the BSkyB fiasco then.

I think I am getting the picture.  He had a SPAD (this word I learned from all this Leveson stuff) to take care of his inadequacies and then he in turn takes care of David Cameron’s shortcomings.  George Osborne (Modern History Degree) has a SPAD who has a doctorate in Economics so GO doesn’t have to worry about UK economy or know anything about it.  Never mind he is called Chancellor – that’s just a name anyhow isn’t it.  Really, it’s all about simping around adjusting your Eton Cufflinks while all the lesser folk scrub the floors and sort out your job for you – oh and bring the drinks before your nap time at 3pm, I guess.  Cameron fluffed his lines again in the Commons today.  Oh well, not surprising, as he forgot how many children he had the other day.    Do all SPIVS in the UK have SPADS then?

Ed Milliband in Daily Mail back in April.  Well written too – I’ve not paid close attention before.

This story reflects badly on both the parties in government. We’ve come to expect David Cameron’s out-of-touch views. The LibDems really have gone down in my estimation. Why not vote on an issue about which they had opinions? It’s the usual sordid cynicism which we have come to expect from them.

What you say is true of the Coalition partners but why should any electorate just put up with such obvious incompetence? The LibDem Council here does an excellent job whereas Labour were terrible.
