It is the result of our politicians ignoring the issue for years they had to take decisive action to stop it and they have done next to nothing other than provide a taxi service at taxpayers cost. The French are not going to stop them coming the EU do not want them either.

We are told over and over again that the EU is a law driven organisation. There are clear EU and thus French laws that cover the number of people that can legally be on-board a boat and the qualifications necessary to be held by the skipper. And yet, as we have seen today on TV, the French police at Wimerieux beach watching the launching of a grossly overloaded boat without taking any action. So sad and so disgraceful.
