What’s Up SkyWatch? Blood Moon 2018: Moon rise direction – what time will the moon rise today?

”The once-in-a-lifetime blood moon lunar eclipse and blue moon combo reached totality around 1pm GMT (5am EST) in the eastern half of the world.

The mesmerizing full moon took on a deep orange-red hue as it passed into Earth’s umbra, or shadow, and has now disappeared completely from sight.

The Blood Moon Eclipse is only visible in the Eastern Hemisphere nightside of Earth

Unfortunately for spectators in the Western Hemisphere, the spectacle is only visible across large swathes of the US, Pacific, Asia and Australia.”
