Drivers could soon be fined for parking on the pavement: Here’s what you need to know

”In busy terraced streets a lot of people are tempted to park their cars on kerbs to leave enough room for traffic to pass on the road.

But obstructing the path can create problems for pedestrians.

Pushing a pram round a parked car and into the road has obvious dangers, while blind people will not always be able to tell if their pathway is blocked by a vehicle.

A survey by Guide Dogs showed 90% of blind or partially sighted people had experienced trouble with a pavement parked car.”

Cars Parked On The Pavement In Middlesborough
