Lords could derail Osborne’s plans to soften rules on banker accountability

GR Comment:  “Osborne is being forced into committing political suicide by the government’s backers in the city. His changes legitimise financial exploitation and crime, with those in charge never being held to accoubt.”

GR Comment: “How can you soften the rules for people who have abused the existing rules to such a degree that the government ended up giving them public money? It needs to go in the other direction. They owe us. In fact perhaps they can pay for the services we need but apparently the government doesn’t have enough to pay for. Osborne seems happy to remove money from the poor to put into the pockets of the rich. Robin Hood in reverse.

I never thought I’d say it, but thank goodness for the Lords.”

GR Comment: “The bankers that creamed lots of cash from ‘lets pretend assets’ between 95′ and 08′ before returning the financial world back to 95′ again, but this time saddling a load of relatively poor people with their negative balance?

Bankers, big stick, no lubrication.”

GR Comment:  “I’m slowly warming to this bunch of dress wearing, unelected, freeloading, gravy guzzlers!”
