Paul Brooke (centre) was found not to have breached the terms of a civil action banning ‘direct action’ protests against tree-felling in Sheffield.

Sheffield council waste our money on this case, now they will have to pay costs, more money more irresponsible decisions, they must be so stupid, we are in austerity, people go without services, these are people who are vulnerable, who can ill afford the loss of their services. Sheffield labour council think its ok to waste our money on these courts and PFI contracts, the roads will be unfit for purpose, as AMEY use tarmac which is already wearing on roads not even 2 years ago. Do you think the public don’t see this Julie Dore, SCC need to look at the core of the issue, strong labour is bullying Sheffield citizens, the streets are our streets, the trees and the verges are in shared public ownership, as citizens we have the right to use the roads, pavements in safety. We also have the rights to care for the environments where we live. We should protect the trees, we have key environmental factors here, less trees cause climate change, weather patterns, if SCC continues to destroy our environment, this area will be scarred for generations. I for one want my grand children to grow up in a city which has green values, a city which values its peoples input, not one which tries to suppress its citizens!

This is a small and, probably, short-lived victory but anything that sticks the rods up to the appalling Julie ”Dire,’‘ her fake ‘Labour’ cronies and a programme of political policing to protect private company profits has got to be a good thing.
