On a lighter note – the performance of Carmina Burana @ Royal Albert Hall was amazing!

  • South Kensington looked a picture in the afternoon sun with the carefully lopped trees forming an avenue of green sentinels 
  • The sourdough pizza & red wine was just right.
  • The RAH staff were exceptional – I was fetched an ice cold glass of water by a very considerate usherette.
  • The performance was riveting – one violinist in particular – whose whole head & shoulders swayed to the rhythm, as the flow of the chorus being played, was traced out.  I was fascinated – he was enjoying it as much as we were.
