I’m 57, in the past I have voted for the Tories, the Social Democrats, Lib-Dems, Labour and the Lib-Dems.

18 months ago I joined a political party for the first time in my life when I joined the Labour Party, and I have recently renewed my membership.

Why ?

Because of Corbyn.

I see him as a man who will do the very best for Britain, as opposed to people who look out for their financiers and the city first rather than the people of this country.

I want what we once owned back in the nation’s pockets, like the railways and water etc, with the vast profits going to the nation and being invested in the people and infrastructure, not greedy Tory shareholders and the city.

Privatisation is the biggest confidence trick politicians have ever played on the British public.

I also stopped voting Labour after Iraq but took up membership on the election of Corbyn (first time) because I could see that he wasn’t in anyone’s pocket.

I would never vote for a communist IRA sympathiser It seems that a lot of others would not either !

Corbyn only spoke to Sinn Fein to promote peace. May is forming a political alliance with the DUP, backed up by the murderous UDA.

Take the time to read up about the atrocities committed by the DUP during the time of the troubles and their close links to the UDA during The Troubles and since. It doesn’t look good, despite the media white-washing because of its pro-Union stance. One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.

Worker ownership and local control is better than central command as it they own it they will not strike

You mean how the Royal Mail was turning billions in profit when under Public ownership before being sold off (under-sold, for that matter) by Cameron and Osbourne? Yeaaaa… sure sounds like public ownership doesn’t work… /sarcasm.

rbentall
The railways are still subsidised! And, a few years ago, when the East Coast main line was taken over by a publicly owned operator (after its franchise collapsed) it made a profit!

Bigganose
The private rail companies receive significant subsidies (£2.66Bn and also pay out dividends to shareholders (estimated to be around £200M. In addition, a number of the companies are based outside of the UK.
