Simon Wright, chief executive of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust where there have been 51 ”serious incidents’ ‘ in maternity since 2012 walked out of the meeting to jeers

“We didn’t know when he said that, there had been multiple deaths of babies that were preventable.”

The meeting came hours after we revealed there had been 51 “serious incidents” in the trust’s maternity service since 2012.

The trust, which we previously revealed is being probed over the deaths of at least 15 babies and three mums, provoked more anger by having two security men at the meeting.
