Two thirds of George Osborne’s constituents think he should stick to one job

”Angry voters in five-jobs George Osborne’s Cheshire constituency say he was “wrong” to become editor of a major newspaper and want him to quit one of his high-profile roles.

A Survation poll of 500 voters in Tatton found an overwhelming 66% of Mr Osborne’s constituents think he should choose between editing the London Evening Standard and representing them as MP.

Almost as many – 63% – said he was “wrong” to take the job in London on an estimated £250,000-a-year.

It will pile fresh pressure on the former Chancellor to quit some of his many high-profile roles which together mean he is raking in well over £1.5million-a-year.

The Terrible Twins.
