Any moment now the airwaves will be filled with perfectly valid complaints about unreasonably long journeys some children will face to a “second choice” school.

And it is largely down to the lack of foresight by HCC in closing Sir James Altham, Durrants and Langleybury Schools without consideration for the next demographic peak of young children needing future school places.
