Townsville mum’s worst fears come true after son killed in US air strike
Christopher Harvard, believed to be in his 20s, grew up in Townsville before moving to Yemen to teach English in 2011.
He was killed by a US drone strike on a convoy of militants in Hadramout in November. Mr Harvard’s family wants to bring his body home to be buried in Townsville but can’t afford to do so. Grandmother Jeannette Harvard said he had lived with her as a teenager and could not believe he was involved in terrorism.” http://www.townsvillebulletin.com.au/news/townsville-mums-worst-fears-come-true-after-son-killed-in-us-air-strike/story-fnjfzs4b-1226887144699
The family have received scant information about what happened and have apparently not been given a death certificate.
Is America really our ally if they kill Aussies without trial?
“America claims he was a terrorist. The one un-Australian thing Christopher Harvard did was give up bacon and beer, but for that he didn’t deserve to die.” http://www.zgeek.com/is-america-really-our-ally-if-they-kill-aussies-without-trial/
