IR Comment:  ‘They should only attach the following tags to the metadata: year of birth, gender and first half of post code. That is sufficient for medical and research purposes. To use DOB, NHS number and full post code indicates their hidden agenda i.e. it can be made un-anonymous to anyone paying the Government the right price. Remember, Lockheed Martin did the 2010 UK census and has all that data; tie the two sets of data together and the whole UK population’s ID is fully captured, game over: Brave New World indeed.’
