These devices were purchased for Iraq by UK Government. They cost £50 but we the tax-payer shelled out £60,000. This blogger reports that we paid too much and they don’t work. He advises more research. It looks like the Iraq Gov purchased them? Still it’s fraud whoever bought em.
BBC have reported it in 2011.
These are called ‘dowsing detectors’ and seem to use ‘cards’ which are inserted. They are cheap shop door detection devices. No questions asked by UK Gov though.
