The Late Russell Means – Champion of Native American Rights

Russell Charles Means Native American activist 10 November 1939 to 22 October 2012.  A wise man.

He was an Oglala Siioux and he featured in The Last of the Mohicans.  He also led the Occupation of the town Wounded Knee, which is of great significance to the American Indians.  The book Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee explores this.  Custer massacred 350 Lakota, mostly women and children.  He has the usual great wisdom of indigenous folk.
