‘Ha Joon Chang writes in today’s Guardian about interventionist industrial strategy for Africa. Seems to me that it is also very relevant here as you show above. Particularly like the line towards the end which reads; ‘the bankruptcy of free market policies in the core capitalist countries revealed by the 2008 global financial crisis is making it more difficult for local free market economists to defend the Washington orthodoxy’ ….and yet Gidiot Osbourne and Dave are trying their very very hardest’
